Leslie Whatley, Co-Owner of HomeWell Care Services Plano, TX honored as an Outstanding Woman of Today by Altrusa International of Richardson, Texas Foundation, Inc.

Leslie Whatley is co-owner of HomeWell Care Services Plano, Texas which was born from her hands-on experience with caring for her father-in-law for 6½ years. Leslie understands, first-hand, the challenges of an aging adult, and the stressful, emotional, and uncertain roller coaster ride that accompanies the difficult decisions that elderly persons and their families face. Having “been there,” Leslie understands what is required to manage a family member’s overall care involving home care, home health, physicians, medical facilities, care facilities, finances, insurance, and more.

Leslie personally understands the limitations from her own challenges with Epilepsy. Being diagnosed at age 12, her journey included being limited in activities that were considered normal for a child for fear of experiencing a seizure. As she grew older, limitations included not being able to drive which meant she always had to depend on others for transportation. She also had to be careful with some tasks like holding hot beverages or things like a curling iron for fear of harming herself. So, when Leslie speaks to clients experiencing limitations in activities, they know that she understands their challenges, limitations and frustrations.

Leslie has over 35 years of award-winning client service in the retail industry. Leslie is adept at identifying and addressing client needs and attaining high levels of client satisfaction. In October 2023, Leslie was recognized at the 19th Annual Outstanding Woman of Today Hearts of Service by Altrusa International of Richardson, Texas Foundation, Inc.
